My name is Nicole Marshall and I am the founder and operator of Defining Spaces Staging. For as long as I can remember I have always loved to re-arrange and organize spaces in my own home and those of family and friends. My favourite past time is scrolling through home decor posts on social media, reading home design magazines and watching HGTV shows. I love to envision how I would decorate a room to transform it into a showstopping space the public will love.

For me, becoming a home stager was a natural fit but it was not the career I originally chose. After graduating from Western University in 1995 I pursued a career in Health Care. During my career I learned that people have unique needs when faced with challenges. This taught me to be empathetic to the emotions of individuals in highly stressful situations, which selling a home can be. My Health Care career was very rewarding and I gained many valuable and transferable skills, however, I never felt truly fulfilled. Therefore, after raising my 3 children, I decided it was time for me to pursue my passion for home staging and interior decorating. I attended Ultimate Academy and received my certifications in Home Staging, Professional Organizing, Decorating & Re-design and Fung Shui. As a Home Stager I understand the stress a home owner feels when they are getting their house ready to sell. My job is to reduce the stress the seller feels by completing the preparation required to make their home market ready.
